Flotsam

Flotsam in the largest of the three Graving Docks - when built (in late 19th Century) this was the largest dry dock in the world
Today was spent collecting Flotsam from the abandoned dry docks in Govan (The Graving Docks). This will form the raw material for the building the Govan Armada II - a fleet of model boats each carrying a mesage which will be launched out into the Clyde 28th April.

It is important to the project that the material used for the Armada is not new stuff introduced to teh Clyde but, instead, be things that are already in the river.

We were joined for the day by Martin Campbell who is one of the artists working on NothingAboutUs and three good people from Govan-based Centre for Human Ecology - Verene, Amrita and Jen.

We made a good show for the guys who were enjoying the sunshine in the Docks

A grand day - thanks to all!
